The forums have gotten a face lift. This new look is only the beginning. Not only will the look change even further but the functionality is about to go through the roof!!
ImplementedYou may notice some new links in the Nav Bar. IRC Webchat will take you directly to a web base IRC client. Just like the chat rooms of yore, simply click, type in a user name and get to it! Nothing to download, nothing to do, so step in an enjoy the conversation!
Also atop the page in the Nav Bar, you will find a link to our new Shoutcast Channel! Headed up by TehDrago (Dragostini), expect this channel to grow rapidly with new music, interviews, guides and of course. . .non-sense ;p Click, tune in and watch. . .er, hear us grow!
On another note, the Jemanite Stock Market is running in full now, though with a limited number of companies. If you would like to see a company added in, let me know in the forums or via PM. I will be happy to add any company to expand the fun and allow everyone to enjoy watching their virtual portfolio. If you don't have any Jemanite, remember, it's as easy as posting and being active on the forums! Don't forget to bank what you don't spend so you can earn that interest ;p
While the karma system is gone (and will be missed), there is a new
Money system being employed.
This money system will allow you to take collect
Jemanite (subject to change). If you are an Officer or Mod, you will receive weakly 'pay.'
So how does everyone else make money? By doing you posters do best, POSTING! Starting new threads and replying will earn you Jemanite.
Not only that, the most helpful posters will raise in rank and, level permitting, will begin to earn weakly pay as well.
Money can also be gifted and traded.
** Just added - There is now a banking system where you can store your Jemanite! Even better, you can now use your Jemanite to play the stock market!!! Use your Jemanite against the real world stats of the stock market and see if you can hit big!

Along with earning Jemanite, frequent posters will gain basic
Stats as they post, leveling and becoming stronger. For right now, these stats are very basic and honestly...they do nothing ;p
Later on these stats will become part of an experience system with classes and abilities that will help you grow within the forums.
